Travertine is a calcium carbonate rock
which originates from springs and lakes rich in Lime.
It is strong, beautifully coloured and banded natural
stone with a partly crystalline quality. It is as elegant
as marble and once sealed, requires very little maintenance.
We offer Turkish and Persian Travertine in honed and
filled and unfilled and brushed finishes. Colours range
from extra light creamy beige to the warming walnut
tones of Noce.
HONED AND FILLED: This is where the
surface has a super fine smooth finish where any natural
voids within the product have been filled in. This provides
a very clean and refined quality.
UNFILLED AND BRUSHED: This is where
the surface has a brushed look and texture, with any
natural voids in the stone left unfilled. This creates
an overall aged appearance synonymous with antique beauty.
